Flinders University, in partnership with SeaStock, has successfully developed novel methods to produce and culture both stages of Asparagopsis taxiformis as tetrasporophyte and gametophyte.
Those methods are being converted from a laboratory proven process into a pilot plant located in Fremantle Western Australia.
The pilot plant will commence SeaStock’s feasibility plans across five large land-based commercial production sites in Western Australia.
In parallel to this, the pilot plant will also start SeaStock’s natural compound extraction processes targeting products to the Agriculture, Food and Beverage, Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical industries.
